The customer is king. But we don’t always blindly follow orders. As a customer you may be thinking of a certain variety of which we know that it doesn’t match your end consumer or wishes. In these cases, we take the liberty to recommend something else. Strange? Why not ask our customers why they keep coming back to us. It’s not that strange.
Nieuwkerk Amaryllis is expert in bringing together supply and demand. For each wish we find a batch, for each batch we find a customer. For each destination, we find the proper shipping method and a suitable package. Everything is possible. After all quality requires customization.
To ensure proper flowering at the right time, but also in order to be able to transport and store bulbs without any damage, it’s necessary to give Amaryllis bulbs a pre treatment. Each bulb ordered from Nieuwkerk Amaryllis, is given the proper treatment prior to shipment to the customer.
- Bulbs should be left to dry in special climate rooms for at least one week before we can pack them.
- Bulbs are sorted by size.
- Certain bulbs are given a cold treatment allowing us to influence the flowering period, for instance for Christmas.
For orders of reasonable size, the method of packing and delivery is fully customized to the customer’s wishes. Whether it concerns a robust standard pot, a display box, a luxurious gift box or a pot with typical Dutch pictures: everything is possible. The product description on the box containing the pot and bulb is available in any desired European language or in Japanese. Our extensive experience in export destinations enables us to advise any customer on the proper shipping and packing method for each destination.
